We have been requested by a distinguished customer of ours to provide him with a high quality hybrid solar/wind MPPT controller to manage the charging of an off grid battery bank powered by Wind and Sun.
Our technology allows the wind turbine to operate in total security while maximizing the energy production in high and low wind conditions. Reliability and safety of operation is always critical for remote unmanned off grid installations.
Our controller includes a voltage limiter that ‘’taps’’ the current to 100V, thus limiting the wind turbine RPMs in high wind condition and at the same time preventing the MPPT controller from allowing too high input voltage. The controller uses also a brake relay to stop and park the turbine when the batteries are totally full and their effort is not needed.
The solar controller is a professional 40A MPPT with 100V VOC.
A battery voltage sensor and temperature probe are used to accurately monitor the battery bank condition. Aquired data are used by the onboard software which takes care of managing the batteries according to the settings entered by the user.
This particular device will be installed on a remote BTS application allowing the maximum reliability while maximizing the telecom devices uptime.
